Selling Snakes in your pet store

17-12-2019

Selling snakes from our CASCO Pet habitats means you will have complete peace of mind that the snake is in the correct environment, and in turn your customers will have complete trust in purchasing from you. It's hugely important for a snake's development to be kept in the correct environment from birth. Our habitats are built to provide the highest quality of animal welfare and our staff are always on hand to answer technical questions you may have about your reptile units. We have over 20 years of experience in pet retail design and installations and are known and trusted as global pet retail experts. Where and what to buy? You must make sure you're giving your customers the right information. Snakes require very specific environments and can live for up to 30 years. The best pet snakes for beginners tend to be Corn snakes, Rosy Boa's, or California Kingsnakes, as they grow to manageable sizes, however many snakes do grow to their full size quickly, so they do not stay tiny for long. The importance of habitat As pet retail habitat experts, our enclosures set an example to consumers on how snakes should be kept. Depending on the breed of snake you are selling, the environment may range from dry and warm to dry and humid, although some may also like temperate. They are kept in vivariums or terrariums with a heat lamp or heat mat, and we ensure all CASCO Pet reptile units are supplied with heat lamp reflectors that do not conduct heat, as snakes are likely to wrap themselves around these and burn. In order to create humid environments, we are able to provide rain and mist machines, which are theatrical, but above all practical for your snake's wellbeing. CASCO Pet enclosures come in a range of sizes and a particularly popular unit for keeping snakes is our large focal point vivarium. This acts as a standalone feature and provides ample room for snakes to climb around tree branches. Our CASCO Pet reptile racks are safe and secure, with both front and rear access. It's important to consider safety, especially with snakes, this is why rear access is used to keep the general public away from any form of risk associated with unpredictable live animals.
