AEC Sensors - Ionisation Chambers

Ionisation chambers are used with digital imaging systems (DR or CR) as well as standard film systems. Ionisation chambers are the sensors used in Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) systems for x-ray generators. AEC systems offer proper, reproducible film densities by automatically compensating for variables such as patient size, anatomy, pathology and positioning.
