Provet Cloud is a modern web-based system for practice management, which enables EMÜ veterinary staff to access the Clinic’s patient data from anywhere, where there is Internet connection available. One of the strong aspects of Provet Cloud is its user friendliness. This empowers new users to adopt it quickly. The usage of the system started four weeks ago at the EMÜ. All three units of the clinic, the small animal, equine and production animal hospital, were updated to the new system in one day. “This is a very easy-to-use and user-friendly system, I like this”, was a very common comment heard from several users during the first days of the usage. Dr Kalmer Kalmus, Chairman of the EMÜ Veterinary Clinic, says: “We appreciate that you set up Provet Cloud for us in a short timeframe. The system allows our veterinarians to see the current status of every patient in a hospital very quickly”. Even though the usage of Provet Cloud is has started at EMÜ, the developers are still working in close co-operation with the clinic’s staff. “By listening users of our system will make sure that the system meets their requirements now and in the future”, says Janne Huttunen, CEO of Finnish Net Solutions (FNS) who provides the Provet Cloud for EMÜ. Kristjan Praks, the administrator of Provet Cloud system at the EMÜ, has found it is easy to communicate with FNS: “We have presented some requests for development, and I’ve seen that FNS works quickly to support our needs at the clinic by updating the system.” The EMÜ Veterinary Clinic is an old and respected institution, the oldest of its kind in Estonia. The objective of the EMÜ Veterinary Clinic is to provide state-of-the-art veterinary care to pets and farm animals as well as to horses. The Clinic has also a strong educational role as a training place for the University veterinary students. Administrator Kristjan Praks from EMÜ and Juha Iijalainen, Janne Huttunen and Stanislav Jas from FNS are happy that the usage of Provet Cloud has started well at the EMÜ. FNS is the leading provider of veterinary practice management solutions in Finland. As much as 80 percent of Finnish veterinary clinics use FNS’s software solutions, including the University of Helsinki. The company has now started to expand its services to other European countries.
