The Veterinary Clinic of the Estonian University of Life Sciences implements a brand-new veterinary practice management system

The Veterinary Clinic of the Estonian University of Life Sciences (Eesti Maaülikool, EMÜ) in Tartu has taken the decision to use the Provet Cloud system in its animal care practice. Provet Cloud is a modern web-based system for practice management, which enables EMÜ veterinary staff to access the Clinic’s patient data from anywhere, where there is Internet connection available. The system is also optimized for use on tablets, so that the veterinarians can have a constant access to patient records any time. One of the Provet Cloud’s strong aspects is its user friendliness. This empowers new users to adopt it quickly. In addition, Provet Cloud enables features which may connect the Clinic closer with its clients. Dr Kalmer Kalmus, Chairman of the EMÜ Veterinary Clinic, ascertains: “Thanks to Provet Cloud, we also get connectivity to other Clinic’s systems and services from external providers. This direct communication with our laboratory and diagnostic equipment saves time and effort to the Clinic’s employees. We value such functionalities greatly.” Implementation of Provet Cloud is currently underway at EMÜ, in close co-operation with the Clinic’s staff. “By directly engaging the future users in the system’s implementation we will make sure that the system meets their requirements in real conditions”, says Janne Huttunen, CEO of Finnish Net Solutions (FNS) who provides Provet Cloud. The new system is set to be operational at EMÜ by the end of June 2015. The EMÜ Veterinary Clinic is an old and respected institution, the oldest of its kind in Estonia. The objective of the EMÜ Veterinary Clinic is to provide state-of-the-art veterinary care to pets and farm animals as well as to horses. The Clinic has also a strong educational role as a training place for the University veterinary students. FNS is the leading provider of veterinary practice management solutions in Finland.
