About Us

Pet Blood Bank UK is a charity that provides a national canine blood bank. Our products and services are available to all UK veterinary professionals.



We collect blood from donors at organised collection sessions in locations all over the UK. The blood donated at these sessions is taken to our processing unit in Loughborough where it is processed into red blood cells and plasma products. It is then stored, ready to be supplied to veterinary practices all across the UK.



Pet Blood Bank UK supports the advancement of veterinary transfusion medicine. Our highly qualified staff are very passionate about sharing their knowledge in order to increase awareness and understanding of the role blood products can play in helping to save lives.
Lectures on blood banking and basic transfusion medicine are provided across the UK with educational workshops held at veterinary conferences, universities and in veterinary practices.
