PRODUCT INFORMATION

Originating out of the German Moser KM1 which in its day was one of the most advanced small animal clippers capable of also clipping many nervous horses or alpaca’s the Max 45 soon proved itself a worthy successor. At the time of its introduction (around the year 2000) it was the most powerful wattage dog clippers on the market. Shortly after the Max 45, Moser introduced their Horseline machines – the Moser “Avalon” and “Artiko.” which have also proven themself especially with horses and animal’s of a nervous temperment.
With all the superior qualities associated with a German designed product and benifitting from the pedigree of the KM1, the Moser Max 45 instantly proved itself in the dog and small animal grooming world. It is lightweight, with low noise level, and virtually no blade vibration. The shape of the body was very “trendy” at the time being slim and comfortable to both hold and use. This clipper will clip away for hours without any sign of overheating provided it is properly used and the blade regularly lubricated.
Equipped with an efficient two-speed 45w motor it is powerful enough to be often used as a “full body” horse clipper (using the Wahl/Moser 2.3mm wide blade) as well as being a professional dog-grooming machine. Like its predecessor the Moser KM1, it has quickly built a reputation for hard work and reliability, and as such has a popular following in many dog grooming circles.Due to the cool running motor it is a natural choice for many professional dog grooming parlours, and it can be used with most makes of detachable “Snap-On” type blades including the makes of Aesculap/Andis/Laube/Moser/Oster/Thrive and the Wahl “Competition” range.
In keeping with most clippers an element of routine maintenance is required to maintain the clipper in peak performance. Drive tips do wear with constant use and clipper performance may become affected as a result – therefore routine checking of the tip for wear and if found subsequent replacement is recommended. This is a routine job which most owners would find well within their ability and requires no additional special tools.
