PLEASE NOTE
Between approximately 2006 and 2012 a number of Hauptner 3000 horse/cattle models fitted with steel crank rollers where sold mainly in France.
As a UK distrubitor for Hauptner we are not aware of any 3000 horse/cattle machines fitted with the steel crank roller being sold on the UK market.
Hauptner 3000 horse/cattle machines supplied and sold on the UK market are fitted with plastic cams (see part number 15 on the parts diagram above)
DIY customers should note that fitting the steel crank roller required the removal of the head from the body, and the withdrawal of the gear wheel and shaft (item 10 on the parts diagram) which then allows the removal of the crank head and roller. You cannot withdraw the crank roller through the square opening in the front of the head as done when changing the plastic cam.
Whilst this is not an impossible task special tools are required – a broad tipped screwdriver to undo the gear cog and shaft and slim “grips” to hold the crank head.
Ensure the steel crank roller is correctly fitted – Please refer to parts diagram – head section
