Anti-SS-A 60kDa antibodies are found in approximately 70% of Sjögren's patients. They are associated with earlier disease onset, more extra glandular manifestations, and pulmonary inflammation. SS-A 60kDa antibodies cross the placenta and can cause neonatal lupus syndromes like congenital heart block.
