P-selectin which can be also called granule membrane protein 124 (GMP-140), CD62P and platelet activation-dependent granule to external membrane protein (PADGEM) is one of the largest selectins known, having a molecular mass of 140 kDa, containing nine consensus repeats and it extends from the endothelial surface.
