Lymphotoxin alpha (LT-alpha) is composed of a bundle of three helices that form a triangular shape. The protein is 233 amino acids, it has a molecular weight of 26 kDa and has a disulfide bond between residues 58 and 185. It is produced by activated lymphocytes, this can include T cells and natural killer cells.
