Monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP1, MCP-1) which is also known as; MCAF, GDF and LDCF. It is composed of a 76-amino acid polypeptide with an approx. molecular mass of 8,700 Da and it belongs to a family low molecular weight structurally related proteins that are characterised by four conserved cysteine residues (known as C-C or intercrine b family).
