Three subtypes of anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) exist: anti-gliadin IgA, anti-gliadin IgG, and anti-gliadin IgE. They are found in wheat as prolamin and are formed in reaction to gliadin. They have three alleles: AA, BB, or DD. Due to the small differences between each allele, several antibodies can be produced.
