Anti-centromere antibodies (which can be also called ACAs or anti-centromere) are essential autoantibodies which are highly specific to kinetochore and centromere functions. They are predominately identified in systemic scleroderma (also more commonly referred to as CREST syndrome) and in some cases present in scleroderma (diffused form).
